project 240
this is what i am thinking of doing to the engine, Put a 2.2 stroker crank ,take it out to 86.5, eagle rods, j/e or aries pistons (don't know witch ones yet),port and polish head ,oversized and longer stem valves (new springs ,retainer and all the other stuff that goes with it )When i get to work on it i will see if i need to 0 deck the block or not , 272 cams ,aluminum pulleys(undersize if able to get some)new intake and throttle body ,probably going to start with 770 injectors and go from there. also going to use stand alone so i can get it tuned right.also going with a light weight flywheel and a stage 4 or 5 clutch. this is not going to be an over night project i know so i am in for the long hall, hopping that when i get done i will have one bad ass car .
240 project
don't know yet forgot to tell turbo size i have two to work with a t3-t4 and a new hybrid t70 i just picked up .also it is going to have 3" intercooler pipes and large fmic. As you can tell i love speed and power.
Umm..sorry if i interrupt, but pat, how familar are you knowing the in's and out's and the handling of the s-chassis?
If not, i would recommend you to take it easy. Run the stock motor for awhile, then add on as you go.
These cars dont need much power to have fun with. But that of course depends on what the car will be used for.
250-300hp to the wheels, not to the crank, is far more than what most people need.
can you clearify that. A question was asked on how much abuse a stock transmission could take.
oh yeah, yeah yeah yea yeah yeah yea yeah yeah yea yeah yeah yea seems right yeah yeah yeah
