New 300ZX
I just got a 300ZX 3 days ago, and i want to make it faster, but i dont know quite what to do. It's a 88 two seater, with the nissan 3000 engin. i have exaust, intake, and tires. It is an automatic, but i have a friend that can do a switch for me for 300$. But if anybody has any ideas as of what to do with it to get it to go faster i would love your advice.

Honestly the Z31 is a baller chasis to put an SR in.. I just love the way they perform. but if you want to keep the VG and do the Manual conversion go for it. theres more than enough junkyard cars to pull 5-speed parts from up at LKQ. *and make sure your buddy knows what he's doing w/ the MT conversion and read lots of write ups.

lol, please don't put an sr in it, just build up the vg30 in it. You can find some turbo exhaust manifolds for relatively cheap, and do an na->turbo conversion, you'll need some parts for that though. Best place to look to do z31 upgrades/mods at is z31.com | Home. I will warn you, there isn't much aftermarket support for z31's specifically, so upgrades can get expensive.
