ok heres the deal. I have a 90 s13 hatch with sr 20 red top motor and trans. the motor runs great but im haveing shifting difficulties with the trans. It has been a steadily worsening problem of a 3rd gear grind when upshifting and not being able to downshift into 3rd unless im at a slow speed or i double clutch. it also grinds into second. Im reasonably sure its the syncros and was wondering if anyone new if the stock KA tranny syncros were interchangable with the sr's or possibly just a good oil that work well in those tranys. Also im looking for a solenoid for my SR starter is anyone has one or knows of another that will work. One more thing ive heard rumors that a 280zx manual steering rack will fit in an s13 any info on this would be helpful like if it will work or wheather i would need 280 tie rod or 240 tie rod. i appreciate any help.
