HELP!.. KA won't rev past 5.5
Ok so long story short I got a new KA24de for my car... It's still in the break-in period but it's not running right... It won't rev past 5.5k with the clucth in and while driving it hardly makes any power past 4k, and dosn't even reach 5.5k... any ideas whats goin on?..I was searching (i didn't frist..sorry..lol...) And I foudn that it maybe the ECU... I'm assuming it'd throw a code right?

Well It stoped raining for a bit so I got out to my car and check the ECU...
It gave me a code 33: Oxygen Sensor Circuit and a code 34: Knock Sensor Circuit.... Would thoese two combined cause my car to run so shitty?

nope...I just dropped it off at the shop where I got the new motor from, they said they'll figure it out..I just hope they get it done today so I can make it to the meet tomorrow

I will tell you exactly what it is. The 5th gear position sensor is jammed. Crawl under your car and unplug it its like the farthest one back I think, well unplug one and then go for a drive if its not fixed unplug the other.

the one all the way on the right? I uplugged that one... started the car wouldn't rev past 5.5... plugged it back in unpluged the one to the left of it... Car still wouldn't rev past 5.5.....unpluged both won't rev past like 5.2... It bounces off like a limiter... >.<.. any ideas?

You need to find the wire on the ECU that is the 5th gear sensor. I'll bet that it is shorted to ground. Depin it or cut the wire. 5th gear rev limit on a stock ECU is 5200rpms. Good call Ichi-go.

listen! were did u get your swap done?/ some shops put rev limiters on cars (XAT Racing does this for a fact) when they do motor swaps so kids dont fuck them up within the breakin period this MAY be whats going on with your car man.. not saying for sure what it is.. but maybey an idea? lol goodluck man sorry u are not going to make it to the meet anymore
