Looking for intro help.
I am new to the import tuning scene and really have no background at all in cars. I work on computers for a living. Looking for some direction to get started on knowing my way around my vehicle. Going to be buying a 1995 240SX in the very new future. Any recommended place to start learning about how the heck it does what it does?
(If this is the wrong forum I apologize in advance, just go ahead and move/delete.)

You are about to hear a few different responses -
- Search
- Ever heard of the search function
- IBTL
- etc....there are plenty more.
There are a lot you can do to a 240, ask more specific questions to get specific responses. 240sx now a days are very similar to a Civic, you can pretty much get anything for the car, from all sorts of different body kits, to suspension, to power mods, etc.
If you read through TR's Nissan forum, you can pretty much learn just about everything you can about 240s. If there's information you can't find on TR, I am sure there's a link on TR somewhere that will link you to the proper answer.

Don't ever say anything remotely close to this sentence ever again. It will save you the heartache later.
But otherwise, good luck with your zenki. Make sure you come back and tell us what your future plans are with the car after reading up...

thats basically the best way to start. find some good sites, like 240sxforums.com and read their stickies. that will give you enough information to come up with the right questions.
Just like in all things, you will have those people that actually help and those poeple that make fun of everything to make themselves feel better. you'll get used to being told to shut up and search. just ignore it and find the people that actually help.
you can message me anything, i'm more than happy to help.
have fun
