Default Wiring Gurus

soooooooooo as some of you know, i am still in the process of finishing my other car. wiring is coming up soon. who wants to help? i have pulled every wiring harness and assembly out of the car. not one wire in this entire car. i basically wanna run minimal wiring. i found this write up on f\a. what are your opinions. basically these are the things i want to still be able to use.

headlights... retract and prop up
all signal lights
brake and tail lights
wipers
a\c
guage cluster.

and just the typical engine functioning parts.

what's the best way to go with this? get my own fusebox and relays for there specific components? then get like a painless switch board or something? need advice. who wants to help!!!

You have all of the harnesses out? Just lay them on the ground as they would sit in the car. Label each connector. Print out every wiring diagram in the FSM. Cut off every connector that you don't need. Pull out wires until there are none left that don't terminate in a connector. Check out the FSM for ways to get rid of relays. What I've eliminated: cut out 2 of the 4 headlight relays (I still have full function), shift lock, auto tranny crap, rear window heater, rear speakers. My driver's side relay box has been reduced down to 1 relay by itself.

i saw a while back at a nissan meet. a guy with an s13 hatch sr. when u looked in the engine bay u didnt see any wires and he said that he deleted most of the useless shit like u r talking about. i dont know who he is, but someone has to. i would deffinatly try to find this guy and ask him for help. he had a pretty good grasp of knowledge on the harness. just a thought

What I have going on right now is this: 1. I redid all the interior wiring(interior=simple as pie) engine bay and shit like that...I'm still working on it. I bought an extra engine bay harness(not engine harness) and have it sitting in my room. So far I relocated the fuse boxes to the glove box. I just measured with a peice of string, then test fitted it. It didn't line up right so I snipped some more wiring off. It's a slow process, and I hope it pays off. I'm pretty much done relocating the boxes, so I just need to start running the wires around to the headlights and stuff like that. hopefully alll of it turns out good(*knocks on wood*). I can only hope. Good luck to ya man!!
