Headlights Wont Go Down

no not the hazard lights
but the switch on the top of the left had side of the steering column actually on the shroud that covers the guage cluster. fuck if I remember what its called. but it operates the popups motor without turning on the headlights.....

thats the switch everyone else was talking about being bad. my headlights have never really work right since ive owned the car, i can turn my headlights on when they are down and they wouldnt pop up until i turned my highbeams on.

No, we weren't talking about that BUTTON, we were talking about the turn signal stalk coming out of the steering column. It is not just a turn signal switch, but has that piece on the end you turn to get your headlights to come on. The contacts in the end piece fail, and to fix the problem you replace the entire stalk, which means you have to take the cover off of your steering column so you can get to the screws that hold it and the plug.

what I was telling you is that newbz may hit that button and not realize and then whine cause they cant figure out why their headlights wont go down.
