Default Question..

Hows it goin, im Tyler. Im kinda new to the 240 thing, i've had DSM's since i had my licence... been through a lot of them...lol Well i got a 1995 240 KA-T. Its on 6lbs and it runs great but i got a problem. Its got a stock clutch and it starts slipping in like top of 2nd and mid 3rd... Im ordering a flywheel and clutch setup, im getting a fidanza flywheel and i dont know what to get for a clutch, i plan on building the bottom end and head in about 4 months... so any advice on what i should get for a clutch would be great... I was told 6-puck sprung hub, but im not sure what to do... thanks for the help.

I have had good luck with ACT, depending on how hardcore you are will determine if you want sprung or unsprung hub.

im sort of interested in this answer as well. I was looking at the ACT clutches and can you pretty much get what ever disc you want and mate it with the appropiate pressure plate for your app cause I REALLY dislike the idea of having a pucked clutch disk.

make sure you replace the rear main seal while u are in there. I had a 4 puck unsprung clutch and it was a mofo. Its either on or off, very hard to launch. I would get an upgraded full face clutch unless you plan on making alot of power.

I bought a clutch kit from Tampa Clutch. It looked good and was an excellent price.Never got to use it though went SR.I know of a few people using the disk but they recommended a different PP lie ACT or something. On my SR im using a Nismo copper mix and I really like it.Before that I used a Centerforce on my NA KA with bolt on's and it took some abuse(like clutch kicking when it really isnt necessary) and kept going.

Right now I have a exedy OEM replacement clutch that has less than 5,000 miles on it. Is it possible or a good idea to just pick up an ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate and use the existing disc?
