it's for my S14SR. it revs a bit higher than most SR's. it's running my head package on it. it has a powerband alot closer to that of a honda. it's kind of cool actually.

As far as running more boost.. I don't really think so. I love how linear the power comes on as it is. it's very tractable and lots of fun. runnign more boost would give a harder boost hit, and i think it would subtract from the overall feel that the car has. while it would be more fun, i don't think it's what i really want.

right now, with the nissan variable cam system working, the car has the same toruqe at 2500 rpm as it does at almost 8500 rpm.. it's kind of neat. very linear pull, with a smooth hill of torque that gives the car a really fun feel to it. shifting for optimum speed puts me shifting around 8500-9k in first gear, and then 8000 for every gear after that. when the new transmission comes in i'll have to re test and think my shift points.

the 9300 rev limit is really for overrev. it will de complicate winding corners if i'm in a hard spot between 2nd / 3rd with, say, a 7400 rpm rev limit.. it lets me run it way higher if i need to, as well as run a way higher down shift rpm, so that i can get into the next gear sooner, to balance the car sooner. or something like that. oh, and it sounds freaking unreal.

as it is right now, with the 4.63 final, the car is an absolute riot. I'm really interested in autocrossing it, or maybe even doing a track day, but i think i'll hold off on the track days until i have the backup transportation. (i'm getting ready to sell my turbodiesel powerstroke van)

looking at the dyno graph isn't the entire equation, but it does tell some story as to why it's as fun as it is.
compare my dyno graph to the one directly below it, a stock sr.

this is what most SR's do with the stock turbo at 14psi. so, as you can see, my engine at 6psi is breathing alot better then most, as well as making more power. it's just a different feel, and i really like it better than a torque hit down low, and then winding off power.

So, do they make any V/I options for the SR.. I know for the VQ30 you have two options to choose from, of which Nissan made both.

There was never a VI SR intake manifold. With foot long runners like the Maxima, that sort of thing is really needed. A Greddy plenum for the SR has a runner length of about 2-3".

Yeah, I wasnt too sure.. Come to think of it you basically have what a V/I effectively does for us to begin with.

Anyhow, back to topic.

This one is one of the elite. Definitely a "Monday Motor" or a "Freak Motor"
