Default Finally working on my SR20 again

Monday I took the motor out and tore it down for the machine shot. Then Friday I dropped it all off with the new Pistons at a great performance machine shop.

I am out of town for the next 2 weeks and then 3 more after that so I won't get to pick it back up and put it together until after December 9th. Still, I can't wait to get the car back on the road. I plan on doing a lot of clean up in the engine bay because I was so rushed when we did the swap and then the turbo upgrade.

I will add more photos as the work continues.

At this point both manifolds are off and so is the rest of the top end

Here is what we bought to yank out the SR

She is all empty

Thanks, I had no choice but to do a full rebuild.

The car has been down since March. I took the engine apart a month ago to get to the real reason for the low compression on the 3rd cylinder. After inspecting the cylinder wall I found scoring in the 3rd cylinder wall and the side of the piston was cracked. I am glad I expected the worse and already bought new pistons and rings.
Now the car will be solid from the ground up when I get it back together.

Yeah I know the floor is clean, I like to keep it that way. The house was just finished at the end of August and I had the floor sealed so I can just wipe up anything. I have had that in my last 3 houses too, it is more than worth it trust me!

I hope to hear from the machine shop by tomorrow or Wednesday with my total est so they can get the work done. I can't wait to get this thing finished and back on the road but it won't be until late Dec. I know.
