240 Rear - Need Info

Post 240 Rear - Need Info

Sup guys. I just got a 240 IRS rear clip to do a lil modification to my hard body with. My question is, this is supposed to be an 89 model 240 rear w/4 lug. What's the best solution to upgrade to the 5 lug pattern? I heard z32 brakes/hubs? I want to do a 5 lug swap on it, so when I do my tubular arms up front, I can use Toyota hubs/drop spindles and get the same 5 x 114 pattern front and back. I was told this rear is out of an 89 240 and has been modified to be LSD. Hoping to get more info and get this project under way.

haha sup man. Yeah, I'm like dog shit, you take a step, smell something funny ... and voila ...there I am. LMFAO

Nah seriously though, I try to stay up with most of the local sites and forums so I can see what's going on, sling some parts, get some business, and get tech help when needed.

The hubs are pressed into the bearings, so you commonly see them sold as one piece when shopping for used parts. Parts from any 90-96 non-turbo 300ZX or 95-98 S14 SE will work. The hub bearing is only held on by 4 bolts plus the axles, so it's very straight forward. If you want to keep the stock brakes, just redrill the stock rotor. The holes don't have to be perfect since the rotor is hub centric.

do the 300zx spindle replacement. its aluminum looks hawt and is an improvement in performance and weight. ask ivan at cfp. hes got um on his coupe.

hey scott its nick i guess if ur not on NC any more ill catch u here u got that king cab running yet sound like u got big plans ill make it out to the sp meet one of these days just been busy tinting and detailing cars promise ill be there one of these days
