single cam ka head?
how many valves is a single cam head? any one got a picture of it? if its 16v then im just trying to understand how one cam can get to 16 valves. i was think one lobe just presses down the exuast like a normal ka and the other lifts a rocker arm for the intake. i didnt think nissan would go through all that trouble but im just curious.
the question came up when some kid said you could use 2 soch cams on a doch head for more compression and i just thought there was no way that was possible unless the soch engine was 8 valve. there would be 8 too many lobes on the soch cam if it was pushing 16 valves by itself. unless the intake and exuast vavles are opened by the same lobe, that would mean they use the same lift and duration.

wow just did an picture search. the soch ka looks to be a 12 valve, dont know why i didnt think of that. theres no way in hell that that cam will work on a doch head.

You can use KA24E pistons in a KA24DE for higher compression.
Some people are of the belief that the S13 DE cams have a different grind than the S14 DE cams.
Either way, he's dumb because he has no idea what he's talking about.
