Ebay T28???

Default Ebay T28???

Alright, well im looking for a new turbo and decided to get a T28 for my SR. As im looking around i notice that Ebay sales them for a pretty low price. It look well built but than it shows it withstand 575hp, i kno Garrette T28 withstand 300ish hp?

I was wondering are the Ebay T28 any good? Please help, if u do have a T28 for sale Dont mind to PM. Thank

it is up to u. i personally would not do it b/c it is not worth the aggravatio on swapping it and a week if that the turbo takes a shit. buy a t28 off a s14 or s15 and boost 17lbs. (not 24lbs like i did, it was fun)

Ebay kits are usually junk. They claim to be garretts, but they aren't. There was a thread back when about how they actually glued the housing together and it fell apart. Do not buy the turboes off ebay unless its a notable seller and you can converse with them and ask them all sorts of questions with an honest response.

couldn't you TIG weld it back together...and grind the weld down?
then it would be a good turbine

I dont think plastic can be tig welded

Perhaps some nice heavy duty epoxy will be alright..
