'95 KA wont start help please!
when i got this car it ran but had a blown head gasket. I took the head off and had it machined just in case it warped. I put in the new head gasket and now it wont start.
Now, when i took the head off, I did it right after work. And in the process of trying to get the head removed before the afternoon showers and nightfall came i did not mark where the cams and chain line up.
So, once i had it all re-assembled I put the #1 piston to TDC and made the #1 cylinder cams face away from eachother. Then I inserted the distributer and made it point at the #1 post.
Is this not all correct? I turn the car over and over and it does nothing. It has fuel, i took the injectors out and sprayed them everywhere just to make sure. And it has spark, i took the plug out and held it against the head and checked. So since it is getting spark and fuel I assume it has to be something to do with the timing.
i could not find a manual for this thing anywhere this weekend and could not find too much on the internet(i suck at the internet).
thanks for your help.

yea its not set to TDC. google the 240sx FSM manual I forgot the website. or Nissan 240sx Forums- Sponsored by NICO You were close to getting it right but you are still 180 degrees out of timing. Next time run zip ties through the chain and cam gears to stay in TDC. goodluck lumberjack

take out your number 1 spark plug, then put your hand over the spark plug hole on the head. You'll know its TDC when the cams are pointed in the right direction and air is being forced out as opposed to being sucked in.
