Help...Coolant leak

I've found the leak. It's from the water pump. But there could also be bigger problems ahead because I ran the car with this problem and just added coolant/water from time to time and this one time, alot of black smoke was coming from the muffler. So maybe a head gasket too.

Yeah i realize that, but... Wouldnt looking for the shit spitting out of your hoses underev be a bit more precise?

More then likely i am wrong, I just didnt see how precise a pressure test would be, yeah the psi is gonna be low but how is that going to tell you exactly where the leak is.

I may not be understanding the whole thing correctly, but am interested in a response if you have one.
