Default Quick oil change question!

Alright so the 240's due for an oil change, I've got all the nonsense to do it and all I just have a quick question: I'm currently running a regular non-synth oil and want to switch over to a full synth. I just want to be 100% sure before I do it that I don't have to do anything special to change over. I'm pretty sure there's nothing needed but like I said, it's just a piece of mind thing. I talked with Casey at XAT but forgot to ask him if there was anything special needed...anyone?

Well damn, that sucks then. I really wanted to switch over to a synthetic(Mobile 1 is the only synth. I've ever used with my last car) but I guess I'll have to hold off until I get the motor built...whenever that'll be.

+1 wait until you build to start using synthetic oil. You will also get a tarnished effect.

Well that's all I need to hear now. Good thing I didn't just do it like I planned on. See this is why I always ask questions even when I'm fairly sure about something...cuz I always end up being wrong! Haha!

You should not switch over, as long as you're consistant on oil changes, you will have a lesser problem with your motor. As others have said, you do not know how old your seals are and if you go synth, it will have a change to mess up the seals. If you have to go synth, do a blend first and gradually ease into full synth.
