2.2L SR First Dynos
Got a chance to finally start tuning the other 2.2L SR I finished up a while back.. First dyno is .8 bar, 2nd dyno is .95 bar. It's a 35R .82 with only 264s2 and solids. Slightly conservative timing and 7700 rpm limit for now. Next week.. a little more timing and 1.35 bar on pump gas.
1.05 bar pull and got 411rwhp. Can't get the wg to stop creeping around

Well, I actually started a thread a few down about a possible stroker/bore combo but now that I see this looks like I have to start saving my pennies for you to build me a bad ass combo like this! Hope you're ready to do another one! Once I build my head this will be the next step. Can you ballpark a # for me as to how much this would cost in relation to a regular build(ie: 86.5mm CP's, rods, bearings, main bolts). I gotta know how much to steal from the bank!

not much more than a standard build, except the sleeving is like $1200 additional + freight. cp's are aroung$450-$500.. pauter rods are like $600-$700.. oem bearing set is around $120.. 86.5 bore out is part of the $1700 motor build fee. Big Bore owns all.
nice....good job martin

Sweet! A stroked SR. Nice numbers man. I am not wanting to start a SR better than KA war type of deal, but if your going to stroke the SR to 2.2 and completely redo the entire engine inside, why not start with a 2.4? Just curious as to the benefits of either.
DO NOT ANYONE START A SR>KA or KA>SR post.

I'll correct for Martin: Not stroked, bored. I believe this is using the stock 2.0 crank but the cylinders have been bored out to accept 89.5mm pistons resulting in 2.24L's of displacement and probably no loss of rpm. I started a thread a few days ago dealing with a custom stroker kit and was wondering why not combine both. Take the 2.35L stroker kit, sleeve the block and add 89.5mm pistons to create a 2.59L SR26DET monster. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and win the lotto then just do that for fun!

ya.. leave the long stroke to the ka.. it can have its torque.. rpm = hp simple as that. that is why that this 2.2 @ 8000rpm @ 11psi makes 371hp... 422 @ 15 psi... this motor WILL break 520 hp on pump gas @ 20 psi.
