engin labs is a little pricey but worth every penny. they are assembling my ka monster. 20 overbore, arias pistons, ams rods, arp head and main/rod bolts, calico rod bearings, cometic headgasket, and crower cams...

Sucks to hear Andy!

If you wanna do it right . . . you'll more than likely need to replace that rod and rod bolts due to high heat. I would just slap a stocker in there, however I would have a machine shop balance the new rod to the old one to keep the same weight. While you're there, get that crank checked out and see if its salvageable. If it needs work, more than likely you should get your machinist to order the appropriate bearings.

If you need a good machinist gimmie a call. I got a guy in Sarasota thats excellent.

well after the teardown, motor still in car hahaha, the crank is not scored and the rod looks good. I guess i cought it just in time. I DID not beat on or rev the motor when it had the knock, so i am just going to replace the rod bearings for now. I would do a full build but i need a car!! Right now I have my supra torn apart so i can drive that. I got lucky this time.

If it's all in the car, the crank is still shiney, you just need it to drive, and you're not making 350hp, just slap some bearings in there by code and get a new short block ready later.
