I Need Help With Intake Manifold S13

Default I Need Help With Intake Manifold S13

Im Trying To Take Out My Butterfly Things Out Of My Manifold But I Cant Get The Mani Off I Thought I Could Just Take Off The Top And Got The Bolts Of But Noticed The Studs Go Bothe Ways To It Wont Come Off I Have No Clue How To Take Of The Bottom Can Anyone Help Me

if youre trying to take off the trottle body, you dont have to take off the manifold. there are four bolts on it, size 10 i think, unbolt them and disconnect a few tubes and it comes right off. of course you need to disconnect the air intake first.

im pretty sure the throttle body is an allen key . why are you trying to take this off anyway? there is a lot of stuff that is connected to the intake manifold like the IACV, EGR and other crap that makes it hard to remove and re-install

to answer your question, take a pair of vice grips or cut a slot in the top of the studs and remove them. intake will then come off

no im trying to take off the top part of the intake manifold to get rid of egr and the bafl thing inside the ontake not the throttle botty thanks anyways but gritt that sounds like somthing ill try i hope it works thanks

well most of that stuff is located on the lower portion of the intake manifold. i'm pretty sure the only vacuum lines on the upper portion are the PCV system. separating the lower an upper portions of the manifold while everything is still in the engine bay is a pain in the ass that i wouldnt do. especially just to clean up the engine bay
