Default 350z procharger opinions

I am about to purchase a procharger for my 350z. Is there anything else besides the kit that i will need? Kits always say "complete kit", then you have to spend another grand in misc parts. Has anyone here had any experience with this kit?

the stuff people buy after the supercharger would be better stuff to tune the car like injectors, fuel pump, stand alone ecus or piggy backs if it does not bring ti with the kit also the end up getter better exhaust systems if you plan on leaving it with factory boost which is usually 6-8 psi on superchargers then you will be fine but once you want more power then you got to upgrade

pretty much everything that is needed to install. I am not going to waste my time with the software that comes with it, i am going to go UTEC. and as far as exhaust i have upgraded exhaust already. The fuel pump that comes with it is not too nice either, i am going walbro 255. What im looking for is maybe some experience or advice on what realworld add ons need to be bought with the kit. From my experience, (having a hand full of friends that have gone SC or Turbo), there is usually something else you have to get or upgrade. have either of you ever known or had experience with the pro charger kit?

hes right. all forced induction systems require the same upgrades for desired HP.

Good idea going UTEC, ive heard of the Procharger software not being that reliable, just uprade your fuel pump and get a good tune and you should be good to go. Its all in the tune.

I'd recommend going with a Vortech over the procharger. It has a much more reliable packaged EMS and fuel setup, and also has a much bigger following when it comes to support and upgradability. The Procharger got a horrible reputation when it was first released due to the lack of timing control (which blew many motors). Apparently that has been addressed, but I'm not sure of the specifics...

Well the fact that he has the Fuel/Timming tuning portion taken care of is good . Vortech blowers are not nearly as good as the Procharger units ..

Vortech makes a bunch of claims that have no backing . I wouldn't listne to a word they say ...

Well, there are MANY more supercharged 350z owners with Vortech making impressive power than there are ATI owners. I'm not talking about manufacturers claims, I'm talking about claims from those that actually own them.

There have been a few issues of noisy cogs, but at least its better than a rod through the block.

Thats Understandable ...

In the long run liek the Mustang world for people have had these blowers for long periods of time etc .. Everyone says the ATI unit > Vortech ...

You dont see high powered race cars using the Vortech Race blower , because it sucks .. Evryone uses the ATI F1R blower and have made near 2000RWHP with it ..

Its all personal taste I would assume ..

I would much rather put the APS Twins or a Turbonetics Single kit on a 350Z if I had one over a blower ...
