Obstacles? How about the S14 subframe being too wide to fit?

Why? People always talk about improved suspension geometry, but then I never hear what specifically is different or how it is better. I always though it would be a good idea because you could run solid subframe bushings and not get the mega gear whine because the S14 uses a bushing mounted diff.

My rear sub frame is rusty as hell and im thinking about rebuilding it from scratch

The reason I asked is because last year a friend of mine showed me a Option Video were the dude from yahsio factory build a car for Nob Taniguchi the car was s13 Silvia Q coupe base model to compete against Koguchi's 180sx.

He completely rebuilt it with crazy Frankenstein shit like s15 sr20det done ala yashio factory. On the suspension they had s15 this s14 that interchanged with the current s13 shit. After it was all done that shit kicked ass. I’m not quite sure if they changed the rear sub frame, but they did upgrade a whole mess of components. The kid moved and with him went that video, now I must rely on my fading memory or a person that might really know what parts are interchangeable like you know…j30 diff HICAS Sway bars S14 SE stuff z32 brakes and tension rods q45 brakes and so on. Help.
