origin lab 180 body kit

Default origin lab 180 body kit

i was looking into getting my car painted and decided i want a body kit. i like the origin lab "stream" kit with the matching fenders all the way around. i want the car to be painted Top secret gold. problem is that is a 850 or something kit and fenders to go with are like another 700 shipped. maybe i should just get a s15 conversion? problem is ive got c/f hood and headligths on the front end now and if i got s15 front id have to get rid of em by the way i have 180sx kouki tails and am getting a c/f hatch too! keep that in consideration.

you can more than likel;y find that kit, or one similar to it on ebay for much cheaper.

I will assume that the S15 front end is not a direct fit on S13 chassis.

Bodykits...scew it on the car, cut, mold it, bondo it, sand it, and that's about it. Pretty simple. Just time consuming.

i think im gonna get a s15 front end, as far as im conserned the radiator core is the only thing to be swapped out(besides front fenders, front bumper, hood, and headlights). the only thing im not sure of is the latch for the s15 hood, alot of people i see with the conversion on the s13 have hood pins and i dont really want em

if u wanna save yourself some money just use a 95-98 radiator support (S14), only mod you will need to do to it is make the holes where the projectors protrude into the engine bay bigger, this is not bs, I have many sources to prove this

the hood: a lot of ppl have hood pins b/c they have cf hoods. When your on the interstate you will notice the hood bends on the sides when its attatched by nothing but the latch. the hood pins prevent if from bending like that.

if you do decide to get the s15 conversion for an s13 chassy, let me know, I will pay up to half the price of the parts, in return, all you need to do is let me make molds of the parts, which would take me 3-5 days, on top of that, I would make them fit perfectly on your car before making the molds, no use in me making a mold of something that dosn't fit, if you are skeptical about me you can come to my shop in Largo and see my parts

that sounds alright, wont be for 3/4 months but definitly an option i will consider.

Consider me one of those sources, since I just did an S15 conversion on an S14 last week in my front yard... You will, however need to get a hood that is made (like the fenders) specifically for the S13 to S15 conversion, or you will be running into problems.

oh yeah im aware of that i,ve seen a kit on 240sxmotoring.com for 1700 it comes with an origin lab front bumper, origin 20mm wide fenders, a carbon fiber hood, and the headligths with bulbs and all the wiring and such. kind of trying to stay away of having to pay that much. they are in connetikut and i can imagine what shipping would end up.
