Default Looking for some info on DR's

Hey guys, I've got a simple and quick question for you all:
I'm looking to buy a set of drag radials for my S14 but am unsure of who or what is the best size/brand for the stock S14 rims. I'm also looking to find a nice used(cheap) set of rims so that I can cruise to the track, mount them up and go racing. I've been looking at MT, BFG, and Goodyear but am having a hard time finding sizes for the stock rims. I have the standard 205/50/16 on my tires now but would be looking to maybe roll out to a 215/50/16 if the stockers can handle it at a low tire pressure. Help me out guys...as soon as I can get this turbo issue worked out and get some miles on her I wanna get the Silver Beast to the track to lay some numbers down and see how shitty my driving is. TIA!

*Edit* - I might as well do the standard question: What kind of numbers do you think I'll be able to run with the mods I have?(see sig) Are low 12's on 18psi out of reach or not?

Does MT make a tire that will fit the stock 240 wheels? I was looking on their site but am not too sure which tire would be the best for the stock wheels.

I run a 225-50-15 BFG DR's and love them. I cut consistent 1.7-1.8 60' times and i am not that good at launching.
I don't think BFG makes a 16" DR, but do make a 255-50-16 in the DR2
MT's are probably the stickiest tire but I don't know their sizes.

Do you know what kind of hp your car is putting down? John, ran low 12's with his s14, and I think he has similar mod's, but he's an above average driver.... and he was on street tires.

John was also on 18's, had the boost turned down in the low gears, and still spun into third.

16's are a limited size. Check the MT page. You'll be looking for something along the lines of 25 or 26" tire and an 8" or so width. By they way, 205/50/16 is not the standard S14 size. 205/55 is.

Touche! I knew it was something like that. I'm gonna check out the MT site right now.

RoadRacer- I'm putting down 285rwhp at 13lbs through the stock cat. My 25R went kaput last week so the car goes to the shop Wednesday for the new turbo(same specs), midpipe, and retune at 17-18lbs. I'm hoping for somewhere around 325-340rwhp at that boost but on a completely stock long block I'm sure that's quite a longshot.

*Edit* - Forgive me for being a stupid noob, but who is John?

At 18 psi the car should be capable of low 12's.
John, is a super admin on this site and was the owner or co-owner of secret services. He also happens to own a bad ass S14.

I'd pick up a cheap set of 15X7 or 8 " wide wheels and put some 235/60/15 M/T Drag radials on them ..

The only 16" M/T Drag Radial is a 255/50/16 . You may be able to squeze it onto a stock S14 wheel but I wouldnt do it .

Pick up a cheap set of 15X7/8" Wheels and some 235/60/15 M/T Radials . You'll be set ...
