Default blowing Fuseable link for ign

OK I took the harness off my SR to clean up the engine bay and paint it. I also unhooked the lower harness to get it out of my way. I have hooked everything back up and when I went to start it I keep blowing the fusable link under the hood thats located near the battery. I have asked a couple friends to come take a look at it but they are all too busy for it. any ideas???? please help asap.
thanks again
Chris

Are you sure you hooked up the alternator wires correctly? I had the same problem, kept blowing that damn 18 dollar fusible link too. I had the 12v alternator white wire and the ground attached to the same bolt on the back of the alternator. Double check to see if that is what you did...

I didn't unhook anything from the alt. I am also blowing the 75a fusaable link as well and now I don't have any power running to the fuse block under the dash and only one headlight turns on....whats up with that????? Any other ideas...
Thanks in advance
Chris

thanks for the advise on the gas/match thing.. .. but I don't think it will help it stop blowing the fuses..
