Default CAS code 11, diagnostic question!

s14 with s13 SR....no spark. Anyway, ecu is throwing a code 11 (only code 11) and I began the diagnostic procedure according to the FSM. Part A on EC-111, the power supply check, passed. On EC-111 in the FSM, under inspection start B, it says to test the ground circuit by turning the igntion off, loosening and retightening ground screws, and checking the harness for continuity between terminal A of the CAS plug and the engine ground. I tested multiple grounds (2 on back side of intake manifold, the large one on intake manifold to chassis, the ground by the radiator, and the alternator ground. The average reading of ohms was 1.3-1.5...indicating no continuity. To remedy this, the FSM says to repair harness or connectors.

Where should I begin repairing the harness or connectors? The CAS plug is in good condition and fully clicks into place...

EDIT: the CAS is getting power, the voltage fluctuates between .1v and 5 v just like the FSM states.

Don't know what to tell you. Make sure the main ground between the intake manifold and the battery/chassis are in place. If your CAS is giving you the correct alternating signal, then maybe consider that it's not getting to the ECU. The ECU will only throw the code if it can't see the CAS signal at all.

I am throwing that code too. Its wierd. If I reset the ECU itll run, but only for a certain period of time. I don't get it...it sucks..it still idles high as hell..shit..

Oh, weird...mine will throw it..then if i reset it, it will throw a 55...but only run for a littl ebit...so i know its still messed up...I dont know what is wrong with mine...because I know its getting power..

Could it be that the timing is just off? or a bad cas?

The code will only trip if the ECU can't see the signal. If you guys are clearing the codes and they work for a bit, I'd have to say that you have some sort of grounding or wiring issue. Make sure that the contacts on the connector look clean, and the little ground wires that run all over the engine are bolted down.

Clifford, you can check the CAS by pulling out the CAS out while leaving the plug in. Turn the key to "ON" position. Check the voltage between terminal 1 of the plug, and the ground. Then check the voltage between terminal 2 of the plug, and the ground. While the probes are testing, you have to rotate the CAS slowly and the voltage should fluctuate between .1V and 5V. (EC-201). If that turns out good, its something else.

Epstein, thanks for the replies. All of my grounds are secure. I noticed though that the ECU terminals of 41, 51, 42, and 52 are related to the CAS input circuit. 41 and 51 relate to the 180 degree signal, and 42,52 relate to the 1 degree signal. I don't even see a wire going into 52 at all. It looks like the ECCS relay contols at least part of the CAS, and my plug is slightly broken by the the clip. I'm thinking that the 52 pinout or whatever could be my problem....
