Default 2006 maxima and staggered wheels

hey guys im new to the nissan scene. i just bought a 2006 maxima and was wondering of anyone knows if i can run a 9.5in wide wheel on the rear? yeh im trying to go for the staggered look. is so what offset are people rolling with?

trying to do 20x8 front and 20x9.5 on the rear.

OH YEH does anyone have a wider wheel for like a 350z or g35 for the rear i can use for test fitting. 9.5 in wide or even a 10 in wide wheel

the maxima is front wheel drive. larger rear wheels give no extra advantage to the maxima. usually, people who purchase wheels for fwd usually get same front and rear in the same size diameter.

wrong!

VW guys put 10in wide wheels in the rear. I think hes asking because he wants the "Look"
not so much the "performance"...

glad i could clear that up. but to answer that question i have no clue if a 9.5in wheel would fit in the rear. Call wheeltec.....

imho, people who has fwd and goes for the stagger look to make it look like rwd is pretty lame, and hitting the threashold i would call "rice", not to throw that word around...

reason being tires are more expensive, it does nothing for the car other than the look, and the rear wheels on fwd are just to hold the car up. the wider rear probably give the car even more understeer

Running a staggered setup on FWD cars has been done for decades. It's a kind of a 'euro' style. VW/Audi guys have been doing it forever, it's not a ricer thing, but you're intitled to your opinions.

yeh im trying to figure out when i seen a honda civic with staggered wheels on the back!! im not trying go over kill, i dont car what the tires cost. the maxima is BIG AZZ car and i want some BIG AZZ rims for my BIG AZZ CAR. im not trying to put on a 12 inch wide wheel im only going for a modest 3 to maybe a 3.5 in lip on the rear. FWD or not its what im looking for.

to me that kind a like saying " why do you need 300hp when 150hp is all you really need."

thanks KYLE

Really IT does Help FWD Car's ... HMmm I wonder Why The J's racing Honda's or MOst of the FWD N1 Car's in Japan Have wider Rim's/Tire's in the Back,J's Racing Car's Have Some of the Fastest Time's in Japan..SOo I'm Just Guessing here By A long shot that it does Do something Beside's LOOK "Ricer" as some of you Say.Oh and I guess Jun Racing is "Rice" too Sense They Like to run 16's in the front and 17's in the back with diffrent tire size's to go. <--At you!
