ka runs damn rich
i made the drive from pensacola back to bradenton today. and there is a problem with the car. im not sure if it is because the exhaust is too big (apexi gt spec on a stock ka) but it seems like the car misses frequently. there is a serious dead spot from 4k to redline, it seriously doesnt move from there. and it just feels weak in general. the ka has 115k miles, so i know its still pretty good. when i first bought the car it was very strong, but ever since i drove today it feels very weak. and makes ZERO power after 4 grand. also, its running rich as hell. i didnt use the a/c, and just coming back to bradenton i had to fill up 5 times. and the entire back of my car is all black from smoke. the ka is stock, with a drop in filter, the exhaust, and a walbro fuel pump. so i need some help. i disabled the egr a while back, so maybe thats why its running like shit. im not sure, but its weak. not too sure if it could keep up with a civic ex. so i could use some help.

Walbro on a stock KA is unnecessary, and if your stock FPR isn't operating right, you have WAY too much fuel goin in. check fuel pressure. Also you could have some leaky injectors, one leaky injector can kill your fuel mileage. EGR helps with gas mileage at cruising, so that will hurt you a little bit...but you have a MAJOR problem with the AFR. Check the 2 things i said above. Exhaust shouldn't cause a problem, as long as the engine has SOME back pressure, and the O2's hooked up.

NOBAMA!
NOBAMA!
i reset the ecu, and it seems to be running a little better. it feels like a little power has been regained, but it feels laggy. i really think its because the exhaust is freaking huge as hell for this ka, but if you say it doesnt matter then ok. it still runs rich, so im gonna go pick up a manual and check my fpr. i may just feel the extra power from the car not being loaded with shit anymore, (i had it packed because i made the trip back here)
