My Timing chain issues.
Well, about 5 months ago i start to hear a tick coming from the valve cover, after asking some questions and doing a bit of research I was happy to know that it is a common problem with a simple solution: Remove the upper guide. I removed the valve cover to find the upper guide already removed.
It seems that the timing chain is rubbing against one of the lower side guides,
How bad of an issue is this? anything i can do about it? the sound is pretty damn loud sometimes.
edit: Ka24de to clear up any confusion
Thanks.

You might just need to replace both of the chains.
Do you know if they have been changed at all?
it could also be a bad tensioner. only way i know to check is to take both upper and lower covers off and check the slack in the chains and see how the tensioners are doing.
hope that helps

you might be able to tell the condition of the lower chain without removing the lower cover. like if it`s stuck alll the way in, you`ll be able to see the chain slack. if it is you`ll need to check the left lower chain guide for it might be cracked from all the slapage.
fyi, the rod knocking on a car i recently purchased was mis-diagnosed as a broken upper chain guide...
