hmm..idk..maybe its the EGR opening up?
my car makes some weird noise like that too

 

Well for the people who said to pop the hood, it ONLY happens when i rev it that high whileim driving and i'm going to have to say usually in 1st and 2nd gear.

I'll check for exhaust leak i suppose.

and i'm definately sure its not a turbo, because i ran high 16's low 17's at the track rofl.

if it only does it in gear i would geuss its the trany or axles

haha it was for giggles, i was really only going so i could see my friend's cars at the track, i had an awesome time, regardless of the rather limited capability of my car haha.

I dont know, that tranny is tough, and i put it through a LOT of shit, and its always had this sound, tranny hasnt fallen out yet... oh yeah and its been a year since i had this car.

I really hope its nothing really at all other than something stupid that doesnt affect me at all like the squeal brakes sometimes do...

Anyways, from what people tell me it sounds like i got a miniturbo rofl... thats so stupid... hahahahah

 

It also could be a small crack in your intake pipe(stock plactic pipe) and when your at high RPMs the engine is "sucking alot" pulling the small crack open just enough to make a "Whistle" of air rushing in the pipe.

this happend to me on a car a had, and it only happend when i was hauling ass!

 

yea my 240 does that under mainly WOT....havnt taken the time on this new one to check it

 

I had the same exact problem...It was an intake gasket that needed to be replaced.
