Default SR is broken... What do you think is wrong

First off i have a S13 with a 93 redtop pretty stock running 7psi

I was driving down I-4 doing like 75mph and all of a sudden i heard a high speed chatter(pretty loud) coming from the motor. I immediately shut off the motor and exited.

I am pretty sure i didn't throw a rod because the motor will still start

When i came to a stop i looked under the car and there was oil sprayed down the outside of the exhaust pipe as well as on the cross member below the motor. I then checked the oil and it was nearly empty...

Towed it home and put some more oil in it and turned it on for 2 seconds and got the same loud chatter. Looked under the car again and there was decent puddle of oil

This is what i think: One of the Seals (ie. main) went on the bottom end, causing massive of oil loss and the first thing to go was a rocker arm or something in the head.

What Do you think is going on. Maybe i am wrong. Any information or opions would be appreciated. haven't pulled the valve cover off yet.

Thanks for your help.

For the price to get the block rebuilt with new bearing and change out what you need that's damaged, I personally do not think it's worth it. When and if you do pull it apart, you should just get the block built with forged internals with maybe stock rods, depends on how much you want to spend. Otherwise, your other best bet will be to get a long block and get the whole long block replaced. We are capable of doing the work which every way you decide.

Thanks.

I agree.

I agree, I dont see how that much oil would leak out of a motor that fast with out there being a hole in the block. I think you actially threw a rod throught through the block somewhere.

Whatever it is, take pics. You might also consider a longblock swap. Buy a motorset, use the parts you need, sell the rest.
