Default lexan windows>?

i want the rear quater glass made in lexan is it true the stuff they sell at home depot can be cut and rivited with sealent also to become a clean lexan window? or is there a place that sells lexan windows for 240's

isnt lexan the shit they use for hurricane proof windows?
i think ive seen it for the regular door windows..and you could possibly get it..
take out yur factory ones..and make a template to cut it..

sounds kool..but i dont see much point in doing it

meh the lighter the better i plan on doing this to the front as well but i need a professional place to do that

well its obviously not legal for street, we all know this.

but it saves a ton of weight if you were to do all the windows. those 1/4 windows alone probably weigh like 20lbs x 2 = 40...windshield and rear window are probably ~40-50lbs, thats almost 100, and the door windows being so huge are probably another 25-30 a piece, you figure you could easily shave off 100-130lbs doing all the windows...and even more on a fastback s13 which has a humongous rear hatch glass.

id look into it, but check strength and weight and search around for other composites first. i dont believe it bends too easily (to match curvature of stock glass) and cutting it isnt a dremel deal.

thats right no high wind worries from me lol but honestly think of how heavy all the glass combined on the car weighs now take that and make it 1/10 of it and tell me if it isnt worth it

have you held them? im just guesstimating i havnt held a 1/4 glass in a long time lol.

you still save 50%+ weight with lexan.
