im with rasta on this one. DE's have more parts easily avail, but ive seen some badass E's too. Ive blown 2 DE headgaskets with easy dialy driving, about 120k each. I have 2 ka-e's still running in their 170k/210k milage with no rebuild, and they get the shit beat out of them.

I have a '90 coupe with a KAE harness..rasta wanna hook a bro up? lol, j/k. Where can I find reasonable KA's on the net? I am building a drift car. Going to be picking up a redtop after the 1st of the year and building it for my coupe. Going to be send the head off and tossing some Tomei 256 cams in it and probably a T28. Hoping to put down 400whp or in that ballpark. Just looking for something to have fun with till its done. Hoping to have it finished by Feb 1st. *Sunny

Where can I find reasonable KA's on the net?
I want to go SR mainly to bring the car to its japanese roots and since I cant own a JDM one I would like to get it as close to spec as possible. Pretty much I am looking for a engine to toss into my coupe since its empty right now and I miss driving it. I have the money for a cheap turbo setup until my SR engine is done early to late Feb hopefully. Hows a CA18DET? Is it as capable of 300whp as the SR and cost effective? What will I need to bolt it up to a '90 Coupe? *Sunny

I have been reading up on them today and found the same thing your saything about finding a decent one. I figured it would be about the same as a SR to swap in. I found a fella that is selling them for ~$1k shipped and supposedly he has forum cred so I tossed him a PM. Anyone have a ballpark figure on one?
