headgasket question
What is the easiest way to do the headgasket without touching the timing too much?i've done it before but it was awhile ago and dont remember what i did with the cams.
put it all to top dead center...block timing case with a piece of wood or a rag stuffed in there hard (so the chain can't move...take off timing gears, slip head off, replace gasket, and put the gears back on with the chains. Mark on the chain and gears where they go...eventhough its pretty obvious when you have 10x more slack on one side that something isn't right.

I haven't looked around inside a KA head recently, but don't you have to remove the distributer/cam gears to get the head off? As soon as you touch the dist, there goes your timing.
