Default S-Chasis Roll Cages

I need a roll cage for my s chasis. Who has them? How much did you spend? Where? I think I need just a 6 point to be able to run the times I want. I need to get one soon or I will be banned from the track. My car is a daily driver too so it cant be to much. Can I get away with a little 4 point in the back? Thanks for the advice.

I just got a Kirk Racing 4 point bar for my s14. It was around $425 shipped. If you want a custom cage, the place I would recommend is NBS Racing. They do awesome work. They're not the cheapest, but you definately get your moneys worth.

Sean at Central Florida Performance can do it. What is your budget? If at all possible I would get a 6pt as it ties in most of the car.

Make sure you update us when you find something. I will probably need one soon, but I don't want to be climbing over bars every day.

i do believe 4 point is accepted with most drag racing sanctioning bodies, its more of the design and connections that are important. the plate around the connections to the body, welding etc.

hit up the NHRA or IHRA websites to find their specs/rules. (BTW, last time i checked, bradenton was an IHRA track, so 11.49 or lower for cage requirement - though i assume you'll do better ) i think there is a sticky in the drag racing forum as well here on TR.

i wanted a cage for the longest time, a simple 4 point, but most cages that are premade arent accepted by SCCA and NHRA (though i bet if u went to bradenton they might just see it and give you the 'okay'), and most are designed for s14's without sunroofs then i realized i didnt need it and wanted it for the look, so i scrapped it from my plans.

but do let us know, if you find a good deal on one, im sure others will follow.

my suggestions would be to see if TR user Dragin still does cage work. he does some of the best i've seen in the area.

race related also does quality work, they did taylor's cage.

sean at cfp does good work too.

but its not really the skill of the welder, its making sure you get the specs right for it to be accepted (if they do look at it - like i said, i think most tracks will just kinda take a peek and if its there they'll be okay with it - unless you're doing like 9 sec passes they might want to see the construction of it)

I am gonna try Sean he will hook it up good for me I am sure. I just need to go do some reading and see if I can get away with the 4 point. According to the g tech I will be making one pass at track day on high boost. So my wife might be having the most fun on low boost. thanks for the advice fellas I will let you guys know how it goes.

Default Mazworks

I have a mazworks 6 point cage in my 91 s13 now and it went in without any problems at all...... its full bolt in and meet all the NHRA requirments, plus the side mount bars are removable so you can take them in and out with track events and such. Its powdercoated black and its held up well so some nasty drifts and such... plus it fits in with full interior. Hope it helps I can email pics if needed

Default cage

The cage I purchased was the mazworks drag cage.... he sells a drift cage that meets the requirments for autocross and scca racing. The drag bar stiffened up my car a whole lot and doesnt weigh a whole lot probably 65-70lbs. I ordered a cromoly one which cost a bit extra.
