Default S15?

I've gotten many diffrent people saying that the S15 turbo is a T28 and others saying it's a GT28R? So I was just wondering what kind it was for sure. Thanks

It's a GT28R ... T28's use older Garrett T series technology (S14). The GT28R (R designating that it's a dual ball bearing turbo) is what the S15 Silvia uses.

I'm not sure about that. It is ball bearing, but not sure if its a GT series dual roller ball bearing. I believe the ball bearing one was used as early as the last s14s which would make it 97-98. Early s15s were made in 98. I dont know if the gt28r was even out then. It all just academic though....we know that its BB and we know what kind of numbers it makes.
