i bought the car and it had been sitting for 4 months. fixed all the other problems and put tons of gas treatment in it. after running it for a few days it stopped bogging and sputtering. then i had to let the car sit until i fixed a suspension problem for about 2 weeks. now the car idles fine but when i press the gas it almost completely stalls out unless i let off the gas. i just replaced the fuel filter as well. any helpe would be great. im carless for now.

 

check the mafs connected to the air filter, i know that causes bogging. Does it drop to like 100rpms..then shoot up?

 

sounds like a vacuum leak.

clean your mafs with electrical parts cleaner, and check for leaks in intake after mafs, and look for vacuum hoses disconnected.

 

its your engine, you need a new one.

im sorry buddy, we'll just go to the junkyard and get you another engine, plus that turbo. :angry:

 

Try replacing the injectors... or you can try replacing the fuel pump....

Mine just did this. It was the fuel pump. Walbros on nico for 83 shipped.
