Default S14 fuel gauge/meter actin' weird

okay..my fuel needle bobs up n down n its been pissing me off!
i know that it is typical in small cars..
but i drive pretty easy on my car and the fuel needle goes from 3/4 tank to 1/2 a tank in a short amount of time..then back up again in a brief amount of time
wtf is going on?
[i know that the fuel in the tank is constantly moving but that doesnt seem signifcant enough for it to drop 1/4 tank]

any advice appreciated..thanks

okay..with a quick google..i got this: http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/fu...e_problems.htm
What happen is that some how, the float had busted and would fill up with air as I was filling my tank, Then it would rise to the top and read as full, after a while the air would escape and the float would then fill up with gas and sink, making it look like I had sucked up alot of fuel in a short time.
you gotta pull the fuel pump/level assembly out of the tank and repair it. Your float may be screwed up, or leaking, or the mechanism may not be swinging freely. Simple, remove the filler intake, remove the cover, and pull the entire unit out.
i'm also browsing around my FSM..it doesnt look like fun to fix
