i have a noise in my rear end when i release the clutch the clutch is a brand new exedy stage 2 and all of the bolts are physically and visual tight i also have some seriouse wheel hop i believe the two problems are related

my theory the subrframe bushings and traction rod bushings are probably shot
my vlsd is probably shot

Sounds like subframe bushings. Give your diff mounts a once over too.

Me too. I ate lunch at Moe's today.

Man, I don't know if I would recommend the solid bushings, but yeah, something needs to be done in the bushing dept. Wheel hop is almost always subframe bushings and/or blown/weak shocks.

Never heard a shot VLSD make anymore noise than a whine. I've seen some pretty nasty traction rods, and they never made a peep. I'd also mention play in the diff's ring gear, but if it was fine before, then that's probably not it.

This is not totally true. At least from my past experiences. My s14 did the exact same thing and I thought by putting in spacers it would eliminate the problem. It got rid of the worset part of it, but there were still some clunking noise. It helped a lot, but did not eliminate it totally.

Didn't mean anything by it. Just from personal experience. But the cost of changing out the bushings, vs. putting in a set of spacers.....I'd go with the spacers.

it doesn't matter how bad your bushing are if you put spacer's on it eliminates the bushings all together
