i just need an answer from u guys on this im gutting my cat tonight cause im bored now ive been told by ppl that some cars dont have enough back pressure to handle a gutted cat is it ok to gut my cat with out worring about fuckin the car up.

Just leave it be until you can get some real exhaust.

 

Oh yeah, you'll make tons of power with a gutted cat on that factory exhaust straw. Like Craig said, leave it until you can afford to do it the right way. If I was given the choice, I'd pick peace and quiet over 2hp.

+1 the cat converter is full of nasty shit that will kill you if you breathe it in. ssautoexhaust is damn near free these days and you will notice something with that so buy a jack and 10-17mm wrench set and have a fun weekend.

 

If you want cheap and effective mods, hack the airbox and fiddle with the timing. However, if you don't know what you're doing (which you don't) then don't touch the timing. Leave it to professionals.
