Any Nissan Dealership Tech's?
I got a job offer from Sutherlin Nissan in Ft. Myers...I'm just curious what the average Nissan Technician's are getting paid elsewhere. (not mechanics, technicians-drivablility techs, electrical techs, etc.)

didn`t realise that shops hired mechanics AND technicians. thought we were ALL techs now...
anyways friend of mine was working for Nissan of Brandon near Tampa. he left (last year) cause he said the place was topping out at @$18 flat rate. which would suck. i was making $16 after my 90 day trial at a dodge dealer back in `01

yea, the most i've ever heard of a nissan tech making was like $22/hour (flat rate), which if you're factory Mater certified and ASE master certified sucks I knew an infinity tech, who was only ASE master certified, not infinity master status, and he was making $28/hr (flat rate).

I was wondering how much tech's make myself , i've been looking into the field for myself , how do you guys like your jobs as technicians ? stressful ? I for one would not want to be working as a technician and make under $20 an hour (maybe starting would be diffrent). What are dealership technician work enviroments like ? Co-workers e.t.c. BTW RubberBerner check your PM box.
you can make decent money, but you have to put in the time. learn your shit, don`t make come-backs, be nice to your service writer. you can`t show up at 9, leave at 4 and hack all day and make money for long. at brandon chry/jeep, i was first in, usually last out, brought my lunch and i averaged $600 a week take home. there were some $800 checks and some $300-$400 checks. sometimes it`s just slow and nobody makes any money. like christmas time is the worst, people are buying christmas presents not fixing their cars. i liked working for dodge/chry/jeep cause they were/are such junk you usually had steady repair work.
