200sx SE-R pros vs. cons.
For you 200sx SE-R people out there...list some pros and cons of the vehicle...
i dont have too many of the cons...but the worst thing i hate about the car is the dipstick placement...terrible terrible terrible...
for the most part i like how for bone stock...it handle descently...lots of bodyroll...but perty easy to control...

the b14 actually has better handling potential than the b13 chassis before it.....Mike Kojima's "Dog Car" NASA race car is a 4 door b14 and he almost dominates.
of course, it's got an SR20, so how can you not be happy with it?

I don't like the B14 in general, but the SE-R version overcomes a lot of the series' shortfalls.
One of the cons is the lack of suspension travel. Even with a tame spring kit like a ProKit, you have big problems bottoming out. They also have cable clutches (instead of hydrolic), which are flintstone technology and don't like heavier sport pressure plates. Don't forget about 5th gear pop-out on old worn trannies.

Epstien pretty much covered it all. A brake upgrade and 5 lugs wouldn't hurt either, but thats being overly critical IMO.

hmm i have yet to hear about the 5th gear popping out...yeah i cant wait to experience that.
i hate the clutch cables...its such a hassle...and im still fighting with Exedy over a faulty clutch they sent me. The guy that was handeling my case decided he wasnt going to work there anymore...so now i have to do the run-around again in trying to get my replacement clutch.
about the bottoming out i know my back end will occasionally tap on a bump...im stock ride height and i bump...id hate to see what happens if i get springs...
the other thing i terribly dislike about the SE-R IS the stock ride height. You woulda figured that they woulda lowered it a little so it didnt look like you were getting rede to hit the back trails.

5th gear pop-out does not apply to B-14's.
Just stick some Pro-kits in the front and leave the back alone for a nice level ride. Stuff in some 17's.
Con- Front wheel gap is huge, If you have black they all faded, weak clutch cable bracket
Pro - still running strong at 160K miles, only had to put 1 clutch in, never any other problems.
