Boost controller
Hey guys whats up!! opinion time for everyone!!!! I am loooking into gettinga boost controller for my car and was wondering what path I should take. I really like the Blitz SBC-iD III in black, but also I like the apexi avc-r. Have any of you had a bad or good experience with these or does anyone have other options that might be aroung the same range...price and function?

Well, the boost controllers fall into two main groups, basic ones and ones with fuzzy logic and all kinds of options. Personally I like the Power Enterprise and the Profec b cause they are simple and work.
As for the others, the main ones would be the blitz, avcr, profec e-o1, and evc. I have not tried the new evc. I have not had as much luck with the blitz, however some people like the new one very much. The e-01 and avcr both work fine but are pretty complicated and tough to tune. The AVC-R also has some more boost related options. If you are going to buy new, I have one avcr in stock thats on sale...will match pricing.

My 2 cents on the e-o1. i just don't want anyone to make the same mistake i did. I bought the e-o1 when it first came out a couple years back for my eclipse gsx that at the time ran a best of 12.5 @ 113mph. i was running 25ish psi on race gas with a manual controller. when i installed my eo1 not only could i not get below a 12.8 if my life depended on it, but it was near impossible to tune. repeated calls to greddy met the same response "we can't help you. go to an authorized greddy retailer." since this was about a 6 hour drive to get to for me that was out of the question. My boost response was horrible and the controller was just inconsistant in general. after 4 months of constant fiddling i removed the controller and installed the manual again. On my sr i attempted to install the e-o1 and had HORRIBLE boost spike no matter how i tuned it. same issues as before. i again switched back to the manual. the only thing i use the eo1 for is datalogging now. Sorry for the rant but it was the biggest waste of money i have ever spent and i want to protect everyone else from the same mistake.
On a side note, if you think you can settle for a manual controller, i have a few kicking around somewhere and if you want one you can have it. it is a cheapy, but it put my gsx to the consistant 12 second range and my s13 to a 13.1 at 107mph. no charge just trying to help out. pm me if you are interested. i leave on a 2 week business trip on thursday so let me know quick!
