Default Custom '95 S14 grille

i bought a new hood and a new grille..
and i had my old black grille as a spare..so i was wondering what to do with it..
SO I TOOK THE FINS OUT! haha

i took a blade off a hacksaw and began sawing off the two fins..

then i used a utility knife to chop off excess plastic.
i put tape behind the grille so the bondo would sit smoothly..
i sanded everything down till it looked nice n smooth..

you can see the white grille above and my project grille

and here is the final product:

not so bad as it is my FIRST TIME WORKING WITH BONDO!
that stuff hardens so fast!!

it may not be as nice as a '96 grille:

..but i did this myself and i appreciate the work i put into it!

pretty easy. you just gotta work with the stuff as quickly as you can because it hardens fast. very easy to sand down

very nice.. now all you need is a big ass FMIC to fill up the top and bottom holes.. that would look sick!

as for bondo work i have used it a bunch and/or stuff like it on boats the more hardner solution you put in it the faster it gets hard so less hardner = more time to play with and perfecting and yea it is easy to sand but if putting on a metal surface be sure to seal it before painting because over time bondo will absorb water resulting in rust but if you plan on keeping the car for a year or 2 after the body repair then selling it then dont worry bout sealing it

Looks pretty good man. At least you had the balls to stick it out and see what you came up with. I know I sure wouldnt have been that adventurous.
