Default 5spd bull crap again.....

ummm speedo dont work...anyone run into this? im thinking either change out the gauge cluster, or speedo sensor on the tranny??? LMK what you think.....thanks......

The signal is generated at the back of the tranny and is carried through the lower/tranny harness. It makes a connection to the chassis harness near the passenger side relay box. From there it goes to the SMJ (super multiple junction) on the driver's side. It travels from the SMJ to the cluster subharness, and then right into the cluster. Check all of connections. It is usually the connection directly to the cluster, or the connection right out of the sensor itself. The system is VERY basic, so I doubt that either of the components (gauge or sensor) have failed.

the speedometer dont work and the odometer dont work either so is that the same thing or is it different

might be the sensor on the tranny, or the wiring is off

i have the same problem. i replaced the speed sensor and i didn't do a damn thing. u most likely have a short underneath the dash. that might be ur problem.
