Default Just picked up 91 240(hatch)

I just picked up a black on black 240.. for 500$ not bad but i am having issues with the car this girl told me that the engine is fucked up..she said its blown... i said ok ill give u 500 for it and ti was done.... ..
got it home and the battery is shot... having issues with gettnig it to turn over... need some suggestions.. tried to jump it and nothing ti tried to turn over but it just died ... i think that the battery is just shot... i am trying to get it to turn over but i get nothing put starting fluid in and still nothing.. any help would be helpful..

i didnt care that the engine is shot .... its my projet car and you have to start somewhere. ya know.other than the issues with the engine the car is pretty clean... i think that she just didnt take car of the engine.. but if the engine is neglected i wonder what condition the rest of the car is in.... does the ka24 that is in the 340 usually have the vin number etched in it.. if there is a new engine in it and this one is fukd then she didnot take ccare of the car ..

new one is coming anyway....sr sr sr sr
hehehe

anyway any info on the etched vin... or on the starter would be very helpfull thanx

search on google, im sure you can find what each vin number means and look on a chart and figure that out, as far as the starter..not to sure.

There is a number somewhere on the block, but I don't think that it correlates to the VIN number. This isn't a Honda. If the motor is physically spinning, then the starter isn't the problem.

i kind of thought so.. just i wasnt sure if there was a number that matched the vin like some import cars.. i know that hondas do...it just seems that the battary is toasted.. i tries jumping the car... had it hooked up for about 20 min tring to charge the battery and.. i got nothing.. but it seems that the battery is completely shot ..i am going to get a new battery today and i will keep u posted.. thanks for the help..

Did you check the spark? Or the fuel? There are only 4 major things it could be: Spark, Fuel, Air, Compression. Check those
