Question Power to manual window conversion

I did a quick search and found very little of any help. My question is: How difficult would it be to convert from power to manual windows on a 1991 240 coupe? I assume the glass is the same, as well as the hardware mounting positions inside the door. I wonder if it would be possible to modify the existing door panels or do the manual panels have different contours to accommodate the crank? If this isn't too hard, I might start checking around the junk yards, unless someone would like to trade up for parts to some extent. All of my window hardware works exceptionally well, without flaw.

not easy at all..manuals have this cable config to move the window up and down.... very complicated....if you want to do it swap in manual doors...trust me.

power windows in S13's are overrated. They move slow, all the used parts are probably broken, and the buttons are clumsy to operate. Unless you're a hard parker and need to roll down the passenger window to holler at girls, it's a waste. There's a bunch of boxes, harnesses, and under-dash stuff that you don't want to screw with either.

I'm talking about getting rid of the power windows, not adding them. Mine work fine, but I would like to delete the feature and go to manual windows. I was just searching for some wisdom on how difficult the manual window crank mechs would be to graft in there. Appreciate the replies so far. You are right, the power window option has electrical spidering all through the damn harness and doors. If I remove them, I'll be de-pinning the entire system to remove the wiring from the harness; I'll be left with next to nothing in there!!

If they work fine why would you want to get rid of them ? (not trying to be a ass just wondering)

No, that's cool, I knew I would get asked that question. My friend has had nothing but problems with his, and I just don't ever use them. I'm an A/C kind of guy. I'll be taking the dash out to do other work, so I figured if I had a chance to delete that system, I would take it while the harness was easy to remove to rework. I don't just want to swap the components, I want to remove every last wire and pin associated with them. Fewer things to go wrong down the road, ya' know? When I put different belts in, I removed the module, wiring, connectors and even the pins to the retractible ones from the SMJ and whatnot. Like they were never there... I like it simple.

Man, I guess I need to brush up on my reading skills! Doing a manual conversion should be straight forward. Hit up Cophers in Brandon or Clearwater to source parts. I'm pretty sure that you'll need the manual door panels.

Well, I figured I would have to get the panels; I suppose they won't be too hard to find, though. I had just never seen manual windows in an S13, so I had to call upon everone elses insight! Thanks for your help. I guess the manual parts are fairly self contained, then.
