please help!!! car won't idle
have a 91 240sx w' sr20. I had to fix the bolts on my exhaust manifold so I removed the manifold, turbo and dump pipe all together. I put it all back together and started my car, and now it wont idle. It starts fine and seems to drive okay, but will not idle. A couple people told me it sounded like a boost leak, but I spent 2 hours today checking my intercooler piping, hotpipe and all my hoses and could not find anything wrong. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? If you are in the area and want to make some extra money, please let me know, I near downtown Orlando. You can either reply here or email me at khamilton6@cfl.rr.com. Thanks.
Things to check for:
- O2 sensor connection
- Piping connections from turbo to intake manifold
- Vaccum hose from actuator to boost controller to intake manifold
- Vaccum hose for blow off valve
- Plug for Mass Air Sensor
- Connections for piping on air filter

Well as far as vaccum goes you can either run the lines this way http://sillbeer.com/vaccum.php , or you can just T off of the top right like what i did and run one end to the wasteage actuator and one to the b.o.v. (my car was idling funky before i did this). I'am thinking about reruning my vacum lines the way they are listed on that webpage.

if you can start and let your car run with partial throttle (revving it to keep it from idle)
Its your IACV...clean it out or replace it, those have been getting really dirty on a lot of cars i've worked on lately
