VG30DE swap into a B15 *PICS*
There is a maxima with a turbo with bottomend work and 12 psi that runs a 11.7 on street tires.... you also can run 6 psi safe on stock internals which is about 300 hp to the wheels which runs mid 12's I will find you the links...
couple of autos with NX express.... Running 12's

Neat. Keep us posted if it gets running.
I doubt that this car will ever see any kind of power adder other than nitrous. There simply cannot be enough room in that engine bay for the amount of piping involved in a turbo/supercharger setup.

everything fits, meaning firewall etc.. won't need to be hacked. Why? (Taylor) I dunno, some people are into quarter mile times, drag racing.. Should be able to put down better #'s then a QR25. But, I don't know why. I wouldn't want a FWD V6 for anything performance oriented anyways, so..
Posting in Nissan tech is much like sticking your hand in the lion cage.
cheers
yeah, thats pretty much my thoughts.
i hate v6 fwd's. especially working on them.
and ill say similar to what i usually do, it probably wont be much faster than a maxima.
so why not just drive a maxima?

specV curb weight- 2,740
Maxima curb weight- 3,522 (give or take a few lbs. depending on model year)
difference in engine weight between VG30DE and QR25DE- ~150lbs.
its like putting a solara engine into a MR2. The power to weight would be sweet.
the SpecV has a slalom speed of 72 mph which is better then the 04 corvette, a lateral g at .88 which is .02 behind the supra and on par with WRX. The car wasn't meant for drag racing IMO, which is why the V6 is a turn-off to me. Furthermore, I wouldn't want a VG30 swap anyways. Now, if it were a VQ35, I may be a bit more interested.

Really the maxima weights how much? 3,522 not even a 6th gen weights that, 6th gen weights 3,400 lbs. with a VQ35DE. A 5th gen being a 2000 thru 2003 weights 3,250-3,330 and a 5th gen weights right at 3,000 lbs. to be exact 95- 96 is 2,990 97-99 is 3,020.... also by the way, the motor in the sentra, is a VQ30DEK meaning, it has a "variable intake manifold" in a 2000-2001 maxima.... VG30DE is a 1993-1994 3.0 DOHC Cast iron block not an aluminum block....
