93' nissan pick up w/ka24e
i don't know much about the nissan world i have a civic... i just bought a 93' extended cab pick up w/ ka24e...i would like to know what i need to do to swap the ka24de into it... how much do they run and how much to swap this into the truck...does the tranny match up or do i need the tranny from the ka24de not mine... just curious...any thoughts?
hmm use these websites

not sure if they have what u need.. hey swap a SR in it.take alittle more work , but search around would be my advice, i think the twin cam swap should be relatively easy to do, those trucks also use the twin cam motor

thank you very much...my big one is if the tranny for the k24e and the de match or if they are diff... and swap the sr' would be fucking great but it is still just a beater... just needs some more umfff.
the KA24DE will literally drop right in. the tranny is the same size and easy to do. putting an SR20 in that beast is a bitch because of the wiring harness, its one piece all the way through. if you can do it, rock on!. the truck is very reliable and light enough to be relatively fun in a turn. Im rocking the standard cab and just left the single slammer in there.
You Mean 72,000 Or Really 720,000 Wow That's Alot... Does 650 Include Tranny I Think They Said I Don't Need The Tranny? My Motor Has 124,000 On It I Just Bouhgt It From The Original Owner Brand New Of The Lot And She Is A Older Women So It Is Clean And Has Not A Leak But After My Sc Civic This Is Way To Slow For Me... How Much Is The Labor On A Swap Like This... Not Yellin' Just Did Not Remove Caps Im Laze...
yea my bad, its 72000 miles, added a 0 by accident, but if u pull that motor relatively soon i might be interested if its in perfect condition (all fluids hold good, no leaks, no smoke, head gasket is strong) i might be interested in taking it off your hands, pm me please
you guys hurt my head
the pickup truck tranny is NOT the same as the car tranny!
you can put a twin cam KA in, but its going to take alot of custom wiring! the intake manifold off the single cam truck motor does NOT bolt onto the twin cam
the twin cam 240sx manifold will NOT work in the truck! the truck is not multiport injection like the 240SX
and an SR?! try a custom oil pan, custom tranny mount and DAYS of wiring. that truck has a 1 piece harness. from headlight, to tailight, cluster to motor. all the same. no disconnects, no interfaces. so wiring an SR to work is such a PITA, i charge 1000.00 alone for wiring in those... ITS THAT BAD!!
as far as oil pans, if you use the SR pan youre SOL. youre either A) going to flex the front suspension enough to rotate the sway bar into the lower pan (which dents it which is BAD) or B) have to cock the motor back so far for the pan to clear the sway bar that no oil will sit around the pickup under acceleration.
the single cams in the trucks run just fine for some reason and Nissan Motorsports (NISMO) has an EXTENSIVE catalogue of parts for that motor. the nissan hardbody truck is a popular truck to turn into a road race car is one particular class.
my advice. just leave it alone.

you said "cock"
what taylor said, and ive had both engines in front of me, and planned to do the same thing, since i had a parts car, and a truck that had the kaE, but trust us they arent the same.
