Default Boost Designs stock/carry anything?

Just ordered two gauges and 4 point harnesses for my car but was notified that they are no longer carrying any of those items. WTF? Take them off the site then. It seems lately a lot of people have been unhappy ie. not getting their shipment on time, or them not carrying anything. Post your experiences with them if you've had any?

The guy is an asshole. Period. His website says "turbo kits take up to 3 weeks to make". When people bitch that their fuel injectors are taking over a month, he said "READ THE SITE. It says takes 3 weeks or more."

The guy can't run a business, doesn't make himself look good through the posts he makes on forums, and is an idiot. All descrepancies between FMax turbo downpipe location (bolts to sr20det downpipe with a minor flange rotation) and his (doesn't bolt to anything but his proprietary exhaust) is because he's a better R&D guy, and his stuff flows better. And that's why he built an exhaust that NA 240sx owners can't use. That's why he built a manifold/downpipe that you need to buy his exhaust to use, or go through a TON of work to fab up stuff to work like I did. He shot himself in the foot, is barely attracting a market, and is an asshole.
Thumbs down. Until something changes, I'll jock their manifold, but never recommend someone buy from him.

wow, i've heard of you speak of them at the meets but didn't realize you felt that way about them. I agree, on ka-t.org his responses are very un-professional and business like and soooo many people are waiting over a month to receive shit that should be sitting in storage waiting to be shipped or drop shipped from his supplier. I'd be real hesistant to do business, or try, in the future now.

I've been trying to follow their progress on the intake manifold and in January they were saying we should have it dyno tuned by the end of the week. 4 months later they keep saying the same shit. Take the piece to the dyno already!

I have a manifold that is going to be 899 msrp, 789 with purchase of the rest of the kit, and is going to blow the doors off of every other KA-T manifold on the market.

PEAK BOOST BISHES!

stay tuned, as we put the prototype on Yuki's Built Ka-T!!!!!!

jeff:

manifold is actually being sent to me right now.

top mount style, 15 degree collector just like the SR20 peak boost manifold.

We're putting the turbo as close to the valve cover as possible, this way people will have tons of room for s13/s14 brake master cylinder brake booster issues clearance. a downpipe is also in the works.

Let this be a lesson. If you're willing to pay in-state taxes, buy from Enjuku. They've been around forever, better service and better R&D for the KA-T.

Poor Yuki, does he ever get to drive his car lol

+1 on the thumbs down for boost designs. Jeff pointed out how my IC kit piping was jacked. The piping came with a lip so the couplers wouldn't pop of (only problem was they were made with a pipe extender) The owner/ R&D guy can eat crap and live for all I care. Oh and the IC kit on BD page has pictures it with clamps and couplers but there weren't any (so lucky to have amazon hose in Tampa.)
Long live enjuku and phatka-t.
